Logistics People are recruiting a Shift Manager on Behalf of iFORCE.
Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000.00 per annum
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00
Role Purpose: Within a ‘Multi-client’ site environment, to manage colleagues and other resources in the safe and profitable delivery of the services required by the clients. To maintain statutory and company standards with regard to safety, welfare and security within all aspects of shift activity.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the standard shift inbound and outbound operational processes within the constraints of the required services, operational cost, accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain appropriate administration of processes for reporting and tracking key information
- Assist in the operational resource and performance planning processes
- Maintain relevant performance management processes of GCE and CPR
- Provide guidance, support, instruction and training for the development of skills, knowledge and awareness relative to operational requirements, health, safety and welfare of all staff within your areas of responsibility
- Conduct investigative processes and, where appropriate, take relevant action with regards to providing improvement to operational deficiencies and implementation of change
- Actively address people management issues and manage disciplinary and grievance processes
- Carry out any other duties, which from time to time may be reasonably requested from the management
Key Skills:
- Experience of managing and developing a team
- Knowledge of maintaining Health and Safety
- Experience of managing performance
- Customer focused and commercial awareness of managing client Service Level Agreements (SLA), measuring and monitoring performance using various IT systems
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of managing disciplinary and grievance procedures and absence
- General warehouse management experience (minimum 1 year’s experience)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience of mobilising change in people and processes
